OUTPATIENT COUNSELING
OUTPATIENT COUNSELING (OP)
Renewing Waters Outpatient Counseling Track is designed for individuals who are demonstrating a progression of alcohol/substance use, and its causing them increased problems in their personal, professional, legal, and social areas of life. These individuals are engaging in high risk behaviors as a result of increased alcohol/substance use, however, still have strong formal and informal community-based and familial supports to maintain sobriety while in the community.

Renewing Waters also provides an optional post-OP “Continuing Care” component to our OP Group Counseling Track, for clients who desire additional support from the group psycho-therapy setting. “Continuing Care” is only offered for up to six additional Post-OP group support sessions to strengthen client stabilization.

Renewing Waters OP Group Counseling Sessions are facilitated by Certified/Licensed Addictions Counselors. Each Counselor is trained in managing multi-dimensional group dynamics and providing the most current education and information about alcohol/drugs of abuse, the cycle of dependency, denial patterns, avoiding/redirecting high-risk activities and interactions, and developing prevention plans to support any sustain recovery.

Clients will be challenged to self-assess through recognizing the negative impact of substance use on their lives, identifying attitudes and beliefs which trigger continued alcohol/substance use, and develop relapse prevention strategies to maintain a lifestyle of sobriety.

Renewing Waters OP Counseling Track requires all clients to identify and actively attend 1 support group (AA, NA) each week throughout their program participation.
