INTENSIVE OUTPATIENT
INTENSIVE OUTPATIENT COUNSELING (IOP)

Renewing Waters Intensive Outpatient Counseling Track is designed for individuals whose assessment has identified consistent patterns of high-risk alcohol/substance use choices as evidenced by disruptive patterns in the areas of legal, social, professional, and personal. These individuals still have formal and informal community-based and familial supports to maintain sobriety while in the community.

Renewing Waters IOP Group Counseling Sessions are facilitated by Certified/Licensed Addictions Counselors. Each Counselor is trained in managing multi-dimensional group dynamics, providing the most current education about alcohol/drugs of abuse, understanding the effects of the addiction/recovery cycle, recognizing denial patterns, while practicing healthy emotional management.

Clients will be challenged to recognize attitudes and beliefs which instigates harmful behavioral patterns, recognize internal and external triggers which leads to relapse, identify current formal and informal supports to sustain abstinence, and develop their personalized relapse prevention plan.

Renewing Waters also provides an optional post-Aftercare “Continuing Care” component to our IOP Group Counseling Track, for clients who desire additional support from the group psycho-therapy setting. “Continuing Care” is only offered for up to six additional Post-Aftercare group support sessions to strengthen client stabilization.

Renewing Waters IOP Counseling Track requires all clients to identify and actively attend 1 support group (AA, NA) each week throughout their program participation.
